Eleven

As I sit here in the car getting ready to take another load over to the house in town this morning, I look at my iPad as I have Internet here and see that today’s the 13th of July. It has been 11 months today, 11 long months of many many things and many emotions and I’m still going through so much. This move is hard and everybody’s trying to help and doing all the best for me but the 32 years of stuff is a lot and sorting through it to see what I really want or don’t want is a lot to do. But not having Ted here to help me, to help me load and unload up and down the steps, to sort through things like we’ve always done together, has made it even harder. I know I’ll get through this and I know I’ve got Lord Jesus as I’m sure he’s carrying me right now as I don’t know how I’d have the energy otherwise to do what I’m doing. It won’t be too much longer and I will be in there. But there’s so much to do still, and I have my bed still here in the mountains, but my clothes etc. in town as everything is like that. I am sorry if I don’t respond or call or anything but I just don’t have time or feel up to it. Other than the moving of the big furniture, the rest I have to decide on as I pack it. Be patient with me please.

Published by From A Widows Perspective

Losing a spouse is so different than losing another family member. Don’t get me wrong, they are all hard. But with a spouse there is always a constant daily reminder of them. Every meal time, television time, card playing time, morning prayer time. No more anniversaries, grocery shopping together. Meals--how do I cook for just one? I posted this and more on my Facebook page and all my friends and family members that are also widows/widowers responded with their personal perspectives of what they too have been going through. This gave me the idea of starting a blog for all who have lost a spouse to be able to share their experiences and perspectives, what is working for them, and just someone to talk to who truly understands the roller coaster ride they are on. So here we are.
